I've had a hard time coming up with specific episodes to review, so I thought I would open up a general request thread. Go ahead and leave a comment if you think if something you want reviewed and chronicled here.
NOTE: Due to their length and availability with subtitles, I'm not going to subtitle the longer Batsu episodes. Thanks in advance.

As I don't have much free time, and am trying to avoid burnout on Gaki, I'm generally subbing anything that I feel like for a while, instead of my "set schedule" approach. There are some likely candidates but feel free to suggest others:

ReplyDelete"Too late"? There's not really a time limit. Anyways, I'd have to figure out which one. I know I've got them, and I may have watched a little bit of the one with Kaeya. But I while I think he's funny, I have to watch him in small chunks because I don't really like his voice.

The Salestruck will probably be coming up in the next few, since I wanted to present my salute to Itao. However, between some Gottsu Ee Kanji clips and the two Itao Interference episodes that I've already put up, I'm trying to keep down the Itao overload.

While the Kiki series is quite funny, I've done a few of those already, and want to go into more breadth as far as the different series goes. As far as the extra footage episodes, that's a maybe.

Hi, you asked if I could post my request here in case you forgot? It was the episode where Endou thinks everyone is trying to hit on him (I thought it was the other way around...which just goes to show the extent of my Japanese and how much I need you as a subber/reviewer lol)

Anything Itao or Matsumoto related gets my vote. I also enjoy the kiki series and the gaki skits

ReplyDeleteI'll think about it. The thing I don't like about subbing those is that they require so little translation that it doesn't really seem worth the time to line everything up (timings, etc.) I could just give you quick transcripts when I get a chance?

Um... That's pretty long, isn't it? I know I have the file somewhere on my little hard drive, but I don't think I've ever sat down and watched it. Assuming that it's long, it would take me essentially FOREVER to get through, as it's all talk, and I'd have to make sure I get it right. I do have some manzai talks planned as I went back through my old reviews and made note of all the episodes where I pulled a cheap "I'll wait until I do the talk" move, and never came back to it.
As for what manzai is, it's somewhat hard to explain. In a very, VERY broad sense, it's a comedic talk that isn't based on a skit. That's really wide and would never suffice as a definition of what manzai really is, but it's the best way I can explain it with my brain in such frazzled conditions.
And also, your English is fine. To all of you out there, if you don't feel confident in English, you can always make requests in other languages! I can use an automated translator to get what you're saying.
